Wells Enterprises, which owns popular dessert brands Blue Bunny and Halo Top, has announced a recall of 22 ice cream and frozen yogurt products. The manufacturer is recalling almost 18,000 containers of product, stating, "Foreign material (plastic) may be present in ice cream product."

Wells Enterprises, the Iowa-based maker of Blue Bunny, is recalling thousands of tubs of ice cream, including ones made in Le Mars, Iowa.

Iowa-based Wells Enterprises, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall on over 17,000 tubs of ice cream products because they may contain plastic. The recall, initiated in April, affects products in 103 facilities around the country. Wells Enterprises owns brands including Blue Bunny, Halo Top, and Blue Ribbon.
