The Longhorns will begin their 2025 campaign on the gridiron away from home in a highly anticipated matchup at Ohio State on Aug. 30. The 2025 opener at Darrell K Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium will take place one week later on Sept. 6 against San Jose State.

According to reports, Texas would not agree to move its game against Ohio State to Sunday night to make it a prime time game.
