If Google Chrome is detected as your primary browser, Microsoft Edge presents you with the option to import data from Google Chrome and asks for your explicit consent to the data being imported.

What all data is imported from Google Chrome* Favorites or bookmarks: Select this option to import bookmarks in the Bookmarks bar in Google Chrome, to the Favorites bar in Microsoft Edge.

Through an automated process, Microsoft Edge now allows users to import bookmarks, passwords, browsing history, settings, saved passwords, personal information, and payment details from Chrome.
