Microsoft's new Anniversary Update simplified the way you import favorites from other major browsers to Edge. Here's how easy it is now.

The new Microsoft Edge browser has added an option to import your browser data from Google Chrome automatically on each launch.

What all data is imported from Google Chrome* Favorites or bookmarks: Select this option to import bookmarks in the Bookmarks bar in Google Chrome, to the Favorites bar in Microsoft Edge.

Through an automated process, Microsoft Edge now allows users to import bookmarks, passwords, browsing history, settings, saved passwords, personal information, and payment details from Chrome.

Windows 10 has a whole new browser. But transferring your bookmarks (also called favorites) to the new Edge can be tricky.

After the most recent Windows update, it appears Microsoft Edge might be importing your data from other browsers without asking.
