In a make-up game delayed from the night of Monday, May 19, due to inclement weather, the Guardians and Twins resumed the same game on Wednesday. As the bad weather persisted into Tuesday, that game was also rescheduled to Wednesday afternoon and started just 30 minutes after the conclusion of the resumed game.

The hottest team in baseball has the game's longest winning streak in over two years. Saturday night the Minnesota Twins ran their winning streak to 13 games with a 7-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field (box score).

Gavin Williams pitched six strong innings and José Ramírez had three more hits to extend his hitting streak to 14 games as the Cleveland Guardians beat the Minnesota Twins 5-1.
