While Notre Dame lacrosse failed to put a single shot on goal in the last 18 ½ minutes, fifth-seeded Penn State was ripping off eight unanswered goals.

Penn State men’s lacrosse used a special game-ending run to defeat Notre Dame, 14-12, before a record-setting crowd of 17,721 in Annapolis.

After an abysmal start to the ACC season, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished strong with four series wins — with two of them via a sweep. The overall record, however, placed the Irish as an 11 seed and will face the Boston College Eagles in the first round of the ACC Tournament.
