Out of all the University of Hawai‘i’s 10 campuses, Hawaiʻi Community College student Cathryn Krueger has been named the recipient of the 2025 Masaki and Momoe Kunimoto Memorial Award.

Throughout May, Hawaiʻi public school cafeterias statewide, including Hilo Union School, were offered the opportunity to serve ʻuala (sweet potato) as a lunch side item.
