The Guardians started fast on Monday, scoring a run against Bailey Ober, but the Twins pushed back against Logan Allen, pushing across a run in the first and second innings before the tarp went onto the field. The game officially entered a rain delay.
The two teams will pick up Monday night’s suspended game at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday followed by the regularly-scheduled game.

MINNEAPOLIS — Monday’s series opener between the Guardians and Twins entered a rain delay at 8:13 p.m. EST with two out in the bottom of the second inning and Minnesota holding a 2-1 lead. Update: The teams resumed playing at 9:14 p.m. and played for 14 minutes before the rains returned. The tarp is back on the field.
The Twins were one strike away victory earlier in the inning when Bo Naylor smacked a double off the wall in right field off Jhoan Duran, bringing home a pair of runs. The inning had started with Joe Ryan, who was on the mound when the game resumed, allowing a double and a walk before making way for Duran.
