Brittney Griner, the 10-time All-Star center, excelled with 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field and eight rebounds for Atlanta. New Fever head coach Stephanie White couldn't help but praise Griner, as well as Atlanta forward Brionna Jones, afterward.
The Atlanta Dream are back home. Beginning with Thursday night’s season opener against the Indiana Fever at State Farm Arena, the Dream will host consecutive home games over the Memorial Day weekend.
The Dream public relations revealed the historic news with a post on social media. "With her 6th rebound of the night, Brittney Griner climbs into the top 20 in WNBA history for total rebounds. BG passes Tangela Smith (2,335) to take sole possession of 20th all-time," Atlanta Dream PR wrote on X.
