It makes me so sad to see those depositions and how people with a fraction of our brilliance are always in positions of power. I’m sad that many of us have never been able to just focus on science without working 10x harder to be in these spaces, while also spearheading DEI initiatives, while also navigating combined racial, gendered, and class etc bias.
