As of Tuesday evening the African Union’s Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed there are now more than 2,000 cases of COVID-19 in Africa. The disease has spread to 43 countries on the continent, with Nigeria, The Gambia and Zimbabwe reporting their first deaths this week.
