As part of our Animal Enrichment Program, we promote the expression of natural behaviors by our animals. One of the many ways we enrich our red wolves is by providing them with sheep wool - collected after a sheep shearing at the Toyota Children’s Ranch - to roll in. This gives them an opportunity to scent mark as they would typically do in the wild. Red wolves are an endangered species with less than 10 left in the wild. It is our goal to increase their numbers.
