Stripped Mud Turtles are one of Florida's freshwater turtle species. These amazing turtles can lay up to six clutches per year with up to six eggs per clutch. This Stripped Mud Turtle (24-2244) was brought to our center after being caught by a dog. During the initial exam, x-ray images were taken, and clinic staff discovered that the patient was pregnant with three eggs. Clinic staff stabilized the shell fracture caused by this interaction.
