NC’s coast is full of thousands of shipwrecks from Currituck to Bogue Banks, hence its nickname “The Graveyard of the Atlantic.” But researchers have discovered that many fish species are thriving among these wrecks. A team from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) goes deep underwater to capture unprecedented views of the wrecks, which have become oases for marine life.
