The first major tropical cyclone of the South Pacific 2020/21 season strengthened further overnight, with Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasa currently at Category 5 strength as it heads towards the Fiji Islands. Warnings have been issued by the Fiji Meteorological Service for the two major islands, Vanua Levi and Viti Levi as conditions worsen into Thursday.
