A little over a year ago, I built a hidden shoe drawer under our hallway cabinets because, like most husbands, I struggle to put my shoes away—despite my wife’s very kind and patient reminders. Since standard base cabinets didn’t fit in our narrow hallway, I got creative and used wall cabinets instead, adding a sneaky pull-out shoe storage underneath.
